Some Summer Pics of my Best Girls and a little ART

Fun times at Pike Lake with Isla.  Haley, Jen and spent alot of time at Pike Lake - we live so close.  Larry would call us beach potatoes!

My friend Lorraine and I ran (ok, walked mostly) the William K Irving 5K this last June!

Hanging out with Isla - I had my arm up and she did the same!

I retired from gardening a couple of years ago but thought it would be nice to see flowers out the kitchen window.  Larry built me this little garden - love it!  I have incorporated some friends artsy flowers as well!

Upon arrival in Norfolk; it is tradition that Haley, Aubrey and I go to Surfriders for crab cakes - nummy!

Follows are some pics of Aubrey doing one of her very favorite things; trying on high heels.  Even mom joined in this time!

Even though it is pushing it to pick up Aubrey; I have to continue for as long as possible!  Here we are on the ferry to go to Busch Gardens

Some fun pics with Aubrey who forever makes me laugh and is my very best playmate!

Some art - some new(er), some old(er) and some that has been hanging around!

Hanging with my other best girl Isla

Follows is somewhat of a pictorial on the Isla and Beatrice story.
1.  Pic of Beatrice with her couch mates
2.  Look of "who me" in putting Beatrice in her bag
3.  Look of total happiness to know Beatrice is with her!

Isla and Beatrice

So I already have two of these great Jellycat wide wale corduroy critters.  Love them.  I am obsessed with them.  Jen and Haley gave me a lion (Leonard) and I bought myself an aardvark (Agnes).  I have also given Aubrey a green crocodile and Isla a duck.  They are adorable. I should be a spokesperson for them or something.

So, I wanted a grouping of three.  I buy an adorable pink bunny and name her Beatrice.  I just happened to be shopping with Jen and Isla when I buy her.  Isla is holding Beatrice in the back seat. They drop me off.  I try to take B and Isla cries.  Feeling like a horrible grandmother; I rush in to the house to get three other stuffed animals to choose from.  She picks all three (she is her mother's daughter).

For now; Beatrice is in my possession.

The next day; Isla is over and she wants to take Beatrice home.  Well of course I relent!

The next day she visits again (and she has B with her).  Right before they leave; Isla walks over to her diaper bag, opens it up and puts B in it and closes it tightly!
